hello
Hi,
Your website came up while I was looking for local triathlon events this year. It looks very useful.
My name's Sue and I've done a lot of cycling (timetrialling) and run for fun, but my swimming is awwwwwwful. Nonetheless I'd like to try a triathlon later this year so maybe your one in May as it's nice and local too, which might be good timing as I'm going on a oneday swimming course in early April so by May, I might be able to swim better.
How many female members have you got in NiceTri so far?
best wishes,
Sue

Re: hello
Hi Keith,
I tried phoning but get a message saying your number is disconnected/not in use.
Can I ask a few questions please?
I'm interested in joining both (1) for the Monday night river swims (and any brick sessions you do the same night) but can't make any other nights or weekends on a regular basis and (2) for the chance of some people to learn about triathlon from.
Iif that's okay, can you advise me on wetsuits please? I'm 6'1", medium build so will probably end up in a man's to get the limb length. I've got a shortsleeve short leg wetsuit made for swimming which I've used a couple of times in Cambridge Jesus pool.
Does the BTF handbook make it clear what all the differences are between the different triathlons and leagues and things? Looking on the various tri websites, there seems to be 1000s of triathlons but no one clear place where it explains the different levels, age groups, any leagues with counting events, etc. I can find lots of web resources saying how to train for your first triathlon but nothing on which first triathlon to enter or how to structure a first season but that's probably because I'm starting from zero so don't know where to look!
Does your club have a mailing list or facebook page for keeping in contact or is that what this forum is for? Do you have a social night?
And totally immaterial but important to a woman ;-) what is the colour scheme of your trisuits?!!
ta,
Sue
